*WHAT NOT TO BRING*
Space heaters, pizza ovens, subwoofers the size of a small car,
camping stoves, or anything that seems dangerous or stupid. If you're
not sure if it's dangerous and/or stupid, then email
us first.
WHAT TO BRING
A computer, monitor, keyboard, mouse, etc. Make sure it can play
today's games. Check the messageboard and see what people will be
playing. If you only play Quake 3 Arena from 1999, don't expect
people will play with you. Check the TBCS
messageboard if this is your first TBCS or your first LAN party.
A power bar (power strip, multiplug, whatever you want to call
it). It's really a good idea to bring one of these so you don't
have to borrow someone else's.
An extension cord (probably a good 10 to 15 footer).
A 25 foot CAT-5 network cable with RJ-45 plugs on both ends.
A network card (please try to have it installed and working beforehand.
If that's impossible, then we can help you set it up at the LAN
party, if necessary).
CD-ROMs for games (if necessary).
Headphones if desired (speakers are fine).
Snacks if you want. There is a restaurant and a snack bar on premises
and many other food establishments in the area. There is no pizza
oven and There is No Spoon.
Soda will be provided (see below). Either bring some sort of insulated
cup thing with a lid or you can buy one there for a couple bucks
and use it over and over.
Money to pay your admission. $15 dollars covers both days now (there
is no more one day pricing) and includes free soda.
Sleep stuff (pillows, sleeping bag, air mattress, etc. if you plan
on crashing in the LAN room).
Music CDs, MP3s (to break up the monotonous sound of explosions
and destruction). Do not play too loud! Just because you like a
certain band/music type, doesn't mean that others do. Be courteous.
Little Debbies (we make a big communal pile for people to share...it's
like a tradition now).
